A Signal of Change

A Signal of Change

It wouldn’t be spring at Two Wolves without the constant, not-so-gentle-wind that arrives every day like clockwork. A signal of the change ahead and the beginning of the new vintage. Our wind is more like a scream than a whisper. It's intense and unrelenting, and the tiny shoots that emerge in early April must adapt to the chaos and stress. Fortunately, stress builds character, which translates to uniquely delicious wine.

As the season transitions to summer, the wind calms, yet continues to impact the vines. Just as the heat of the day sets in, a breeze from the chilly Pacific turns on and cools the clusters down, slowing the cycle of ripening. By the evening, the stillness of the night reminds us of the ephemeral nature of the seasons of life.

These spring wines represent the first look at the past growing season and they are a breath of fresh air. The ‘24 Rosé of Grenache is fresh and textural, ready for sunny days. The Graciano is a pure translation of the vintage, bright and easy drinking with some good tannin to support the structure. Finally, the 2022 Syrah is an ode to intensity and balance.

In times when the wind feels unsteady and the path unclear, we return to the table—gathering, sharing wine with the people we love. It centers us. These wines have weathered their own seasons of struggle and change. Like us, they are shaped by what they’ve endured, and grounded by where they came from. We hope you enjoy them and feel the positive energy that they quietly carry.
