2018 Block Four Cabernet Sauvignon
This will need a moment in the glass – but when it opens up to you – you’ll probably remember what you were wearing ten years later. I know, arrogant wine. Dark brambly fruits, a vanilla lift with a bit of spice, perfectly ripe plum, leather, and a youthful exuberance on the palate. Supporting the fruit is a generous tannin structure that will allow it to age for decades to come.
The elegance and balance expressed in 2018 are the foundation of Block Four’s true character.

Vineyard notes
2018 brought a sigh of relief as the winter rains returned and temperatures were moderate throughout the growing season. In response, the vines gifted us with a later, but bountiful harvest. The cooler weather preserved the intense perfume of the fruit which is the signature of this vintage.
Production notes
Fermented in a Taransaud foudre, aged in one new and three once-used barriques.
