Whatever Normal Means

Whatever Normal Means

The holidays are coming, the weather is cooling down and I can finally break out my sweaters and some of my favorite recipes. Even though we’re still staying home, when I pull out a special bottle of wine I’ve been saving, it makes me want to put on a fancy outfit and strut around the house. My kids look at me like I’ve lost it, but I just tell them weird is more fun than normal. Whatever normal means.

We finished picking the third week of October, with Block Four Cabernet Sauvignon. It was only fitting that since I pruned the entire block myself, that we should hand-pick it ourselves as well. That was a full-circle moment for me to be in charge of the entire year's process. I didn’t stand up straight for four days. I might never do that again. Never say never though. A woman always reserves the right to change her mind.

All in all, the vineyard was in a harmonious state this year, the fruit looked absolutely beautiful, and the soil is alive and well. Today we are pressing Block One and Cab Franc, to put them to rest for winter.

Before we settle in for the winter, we have some big news! Many of you have asked, and we have answered. Our custom merchandise will be available for purchase on our website on November 6th at 12 PM PST. Cozy up in a Two Wolves sweatshirt with a cute little mug, rock your Two Wolves hat, and open up your bottle of liquid joy with a beautiful opener. There’s a little something for everyone and 10% of proceeds will go to the World Wildlife Fund. As well as, International shipping is available for all merchandise!

We wish you a holiday season of comfort, cuddles, warmth, deep breaths, and deep conversations with loved ones.

with love & gratitude,
